www.bearmountainboats.com - Bear Mountain Boats is an online resource for wood canoe, kayak and small boat builders. They offer boat (including kayak) plans, kits, building materials and experience to help you build your own boat. Also they provide support in the way of a builder’s forum, resource lists, FAQs, storylines and a gallery.

www.guillemot-kayaks.com - Nick Schade has been designing and building high quality, high performance sea kayaks under the Guillemot Kayaks name since 1986. His boats have been paddled along the coast of Maine, exhibited in museums and won prizes in shows. One of his kayaks is now in the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art. Plans. 

www.clcboats.com - Internationally recognized kayak and small boat designer Nick Schade, owner of Guillemot Kayaks, has teamed up with Chesapeake Light Craft, to create high quality boat kits based on Schade’s designs. They also run many build-your-own-boat classes at Brooklin, Maine and elsewhere.

www.canoemuseum.net - The Canadian Canoe Museum in Peterborough, Ontario has the largest collection of canoes and kayaks in the world. Also the role that canoes played in Canadian history is explored. A list of Canoe and Kayak Builders in Ontario and useful resources are listed. 

www.qajaqusa.org - Qajaq USA displays lists of many books and videos useful to kayak builders. These sources are provided solely as a service to the Greenland-kayaking community.
